Wow, has it really been four years since we started this journey? Well, for many it has been. I actually did not join until July 2021. It still does not feel like it has been that long. This blog post will hopefully be the first of many to help pilots through the events, on when to sell for Pan Gala and when to turn in for rewards. We will also discuss what items should be prioritized and highlights of the events.
Main Event
The main event is two weeks long and the rewards will be found running skirmishes and at sites in the wormholes. Unfortunately, this year did not come with a main wormhole event, so you will have to run the full event to be able to get all of the rewards. However, this is a highly desired event because the exchange rate in pilot business improves.
Running the Pilot Business
With this event, you will not want to sell the rewards from the event. Instead, this is when you will want to sell your contraband or purchase commodities from the reputation factions. This is best done in factions that you are at least Idolized trust status with, but Renowned is best. You will buy from the cheapest seller and then sell to the highest buyer. If you are full Renowned, the exchange rate is 5.2. So if you spend 6m gala (yellow coins), you will make about 31m Pan Gala (purple coins). Purchase the t3 memory compilers or t3 ship registers, and then roll in development. I prefer the memory compilers and perform a 10 roll on t3r1 microchips. When you sell the microchips, you will make the gala back that you spent, and almost always will see a positive return on the trade.
Join the Celebration
Another place to receive some of the rewards is in the Limited-Time Event, Join the Celebration. This event requires you to perform a series of tasks and you will get modkits to purchase armor boosting skins, as well as the event rewards. Because this deals with an increase in commodity exchange, they have changed the normal scanning missions to reputation missions.
- 10 Wormholes
- 6 Corp Quests (Corp PvE started by your corporation’s leadership – includes the Mining Machine)
- 20 Encounters (skirmishes)
- Make 2m Pan Gala in Pilot Business
- 20 Reputation Tasks
Turning in Rewards
The next task is deciding what to prioritize with the rewards. In the following pictures, you will see what all is available in this event and what is necessary to obtain them. I will have a yellow box around the items that are extremely valuable. You can resell most everything in this event, generally at above market rates. However, I strongly recommend holding onto the devices: Black Jack’s Prank, Singing of Chad Byron, Gaze of the Reindeer, and Winning Mentality. The only thing not shown in the pictures are the resource boxes. I would not get those unless you have extra rewards (and you have bought everything else) or you are working on high research and every mineral received matters.
Login Event
Finally, this event comes with an extended login event! You get senior recruit contracts, as well as other rewards, simply for logging in each day. By the end of the event, you will be able to get a maximum of 15 senior recruit contracts. Three of them in the reward exchange and 12 with the login. This is great timing for pilots who are close and want to roll in the Galactic Legends event for the Heartkeeper!
