Before you use ANY of your recruit contracts, PLEASE fully read this page! While the blue contracts do not have a rhyme or rhythm to them, the purple contracts most definitely do. The only area where spending is extremely beneficial for pilots is with obtaining senior recruit contracts. They will drop occasionally in events, but it will take between seven to nine months of saving to obtain 100 purple contracts. Use them very wisely!

Blue Recruit Contracts

The blue recruit contracts are for the regular recruitment. You can purchase 35 of these every week in your corp store. This contract will get you green, blue, and purple recruits. Purple is a lower percentage of possibility, but it is a great way to start obtaining purple recruits. Ideally, you will roll blue contracts weekly in sets of 10. We will discuss the leveling, keeping, and dismissing of recruits in the Career Bonus section. So for now, know that these contracts are ones you want to roll as you get sets of 10.

Purple Senior Contracts

Now here is where the fun begins. Senior recruit contracts are rare to obtain in the free-to-play world. They will drop in login events, a few other encounter/wormhole events, and occasionally in server maintenance mails. The only other way to obtain them is by spending real money in game in packs, rookie pass, or with Iridium (Ir) in the Galaxia Store. These contracts should be held until you have 100. Senior recruit contracts are special because they only drop blue, purple, and gold (Master) recruits. There are two ways to roll the contracts, but I strongly suggest the second method until you have a large selection of good masters.

Method #1 – Senior Recruitment

The senior recruitment is always available. Every contract you use is counted and it will keep track. When you hit 100 rolls, you will guaranteed receive a master in that draw. However, when you roll by 10s, you are guaranteed a purple contract OR BETTER. This means you could receive a master in every draw! You could also receive more than one purple or even a mixture of purple and gold in a 10 contract pull. Therefore, NEVER pull single contracts. You will notice in my screenshots that I have non-10 numbers. That is because when I started the game, I performed recruitments without asking for counseling. I am trying to prevent that for you.

Method #2 – Galactic Legends Event

The Galactic Legends Event runs at the end of every month to the start of the second week of the month (it is 2 weeks long). This event is when you have the ability to obtain an exclusive master. They will have different devices and generally tactical weapons. The two events that are the best are the Lisa and the Heartkeeper. They run back to back, every 6 months. February & August is Lisa, and then March & September is Heartkeeper. The Lisa is the best wingman in the entire game, but the Heartkeeper event has 5 wingmen that all are good enough to make the gamble to roll. Lisa is very difficult to obtain, as many have spent hundreds to receive her with no luck. Heartkeeper is also difficult, but not as bad. Lisa flies a Naryana and is exceptional against all pilots, but can only be flown while you fly a battleship. Heartkeeper flies a loch, but is best only against speed pilots and small ships. Agent Z and Tin Hap Zen are the other two exclusive recruits that are very good in PvP. Many others have a place, but are for niche piloting styles.

Now, the difference between the Galactic Legends Event and the regular senior recruitment is the counting of the contracts. With the Galactic event, you have to roll at least 100 during that event to receive a guaranteed exclusive. However, you could receive other exclusives and masters throughout the 10 sets of 10 contract pulls. This means that even if you pull an exclusive on your 3rd set of 10 contract pulls, you will still at least get another exclusive on the 10th pull. You will also receive purple contracts. These pulls will not count towards your regular senior recruitment and once the event is over, the count resets. So you cannot roll 40 one month, and 60 next month to reach 100. Do NOT roll in this event if you do not have 100 contracts, unless you have all of the exclusives and you are going for recruit farming and luck of duplicates.

You will notice that the Galactic Legends also has a magnifying glass in the middle of the screen with the words “Recruit Info” on it. You can click on the magnifying glass for more information on each recruit, including their name, the ship they fly, and the devices they use.

Again, I counsel all pilots to hold onto their senior recruit contracts and then roll them during specific Galactic Legends for the best recruits possible for their piloting style. If you have any questions, reach out to us and we can assist you with which master would be best for your needs.

Okay, let’s go back to the main recruit section and start talking about microchips!
