Welcome to Second Galaxy! You have taken the plunge and downloaded the game. Now what?

Atlas is here to help you out with getting to know your base. The information has been put together by a lot of current and former Atlas commanders. We understand the massive amount of information you are immediately bombarded with the second you start your account. This tutorial is designed to break down where things are in your base and be a precursor to the rest of the tutorials on our site. While the layout inside your base will change depending on which station you are located in, the information will all be the same.

Mall

The mall is where you can purchase tier one (t1) items. This includes various ships, weapons, ammo, devices, components, and modkits. You can also sell items that you do not want, credits, or “scrap” for mall credits.

Market Place

The market place is also known as the Pan Gala store. You will need to do Pilot Business in order to make purchases here. You can purchase items for development of blueprints, speed-ups, enhancements for recruits, and resources.

Trading Post

In the Trading Post, you will find tier one thru tier three items. It is very similar to the mall, but requires Gala to make purchases. You can also find specialty ammo, microchips, exclusive items, and blueprints.

Recruitment Center

When you are looking to gain recruits, you will visit the Recruitment Center. You will have the option to do regular recruits, senior recruits, and occasionally Galactic recruits (during events only).

Headquarters

Depending on the station you are in, you may see different options in the Headquarters menu. You will ALWAYS find your Corp Store, as long as you are in a corporation. However, you may also see Subquests and Rep Representatives.

Galaxia

The Galaxia store is where real money is spent. While this game is not a pay to win, they do offer monthly plans, flash sales, and many other items you can purchase. When we talk about the free to play versus paying, we will go in depth into this store and what to consider spending money on.

Mini Menu

On the top right of your base, you will find the mini menu.

  • Rookie Packs – One time purchases designed to slingshot your account
  • Events – Current events running, also where you will find your daily “clone maintenance” check-in for free rewards
  • Badge – Similar to a “battle pass” that has weekly challenges to help you level up your badge and receive rewards (we will cover this in “Tips to Grow”)
  • Special Ops – Shortcut to your Corp’s Special Ops page
  • Gift Packs – Shortcut to Galaxia’s Gift Pack page
  • Rookie Pass – One time purchase that gives rewards as your level up your commander
  • Flash Sale – Shortcut to Galaxia’s Flash Sale page

The main menu is where you will spend a majority of your time. Due to this being just a “get to know your base” tutorial, I will keep it brief. The goal is for you to know where to go to for things and use our other tutorials (which I will be linking here as they are completed) to further understand them.

On the left, you will find your profile information. If you click on your Avatar, you will be taken to the academy, licenses, and achievements available. To the right of your avatar, you will find your (from top down) stamina, credits, gala, and iridium. Under your avatar is your player and experience level. We will cover this more in depth in Player Info.

Under your avatar is the menu that offers:

  • Ops
  • Mail (Mail from pilots, System announcements, corp mail, alliance announcements, and trading post sales)
  • Map
  • Corp
  • Business (Pilot Business – Pan Gala)
  • Hit List (Bounties)
  • Rankings (Personal, Corp, and Alliance rankings)
  • Stand (can move players to ally or foe list, BUT cannot conflict with what your corp settings are)
  • Team (team up with other players to track them during flights)
  • Settings (Game settings)

Finally, to the right of the main menu is:

  • Research (where you do your research and see progress queue)
  • Decryption (where you place your crypted boxes from wormholes)
  • Development (where you can create blueprints to produce, implants, and microchips)
  • Warehouse (everything you own)
  • Recruit (see all of your recruits and enhance them or set them to wingmen)
  • Ship Hangar (current ships you have in your hanger and can equip or fly them)
  • Production (take blueprints and produce the items)
  • Dispatch (mining and dispatch raids)

You will find your Corp page next to the main menu, which we will also cover in the Corp section. Between your corp button and the chat box, you will find a people symbol and a number. That is the number of people currently in your station. When clicked, you see who the players are.
