v0.2.7 – Balancing, Galaxy Map, QoL, & Fixes

This patch brings a number of balancing changes and QoL improvements based on user feedback throughout May. Additionally there are some more Galaxy Map changes, and smattering of bug fixes.

Balancing

  • Halved the chance of parts taking wear and tear damage.
  • BPs now require half the resources they did before.
  • New BPs (evolved) also require half the resources they used to.
  • Cargo Volume of Hulls (e.g., their flatpacked size for transport) is now a third of what it was.
  • Cargo Volume of Ship Parts (e.g., their flatpacked size for transport) has been halved.

Galaxy Map

  • Added interactive key to galaxy map. Clicking an icon in the key highlights systems where that icon is present (multiple icons can be selected at once).
  • Added player ship locations icon to galaxy map (white ship icon).
  • Changed colour of single hop range ring so its visible over the government faction overlay.
  • Renamed the “Single Hop” map range ring to “Jump Range”.

QoL and Other Changes

  • Added new -TAG to all transponders, that show the ship type, e.g., -INT for an Interceptor.
  • Show new tag in ship list in station hangar.
  • Show new tag in space and system explorer views.
  • Cargo Volume Size now shows in the properties for Flatpacks on the market.
  • When modifying a Service Shuttle with parts other than Service parts they will show as a “Service Shuttle (Customised)” in the ship list… additionally, they will also show up in your stored assets.
  • Added a mail notification for any manufacturing that takes 6 hours or more.
  • Added daily station shares credits distribution functions. At 01:00 UTC credits for the previous 24 hour period will be distributed to all shareholders.

Fixes

  • Odd wrap in colony details header on the structures page when zoomed out in the browser.
  • Market Blueprint drop down now shows universal couplers correctly.
  • Fixed manufacturing type when manufacturing couplers.
  • Fixed issue where market sell mails would sometimes not show the correct item name.
  • Fixed issue where multiple manufacturing runs were incorrectly setting the next manufacture time too low.
  • Fixed assets caching bug where new galaxy map (and other sprite based assets) would not update without first clearing the cache.
  • Fixed bug where removing a location from the planned route on the galaxy map would not update local cache resulting in the change being lost in reload if no new locations where added to the route.
